velvet cake is already the perfect Halloween treat! Let homemade
chocolate syrup drip down the sides of the cake for an even spookier
look.

Ingredients
- 1 package cream cheese
- 4 tbsp. butter or margarine
- ½ c. confectioners' sugar
- 2 Red Velvet Cake layers
- 12 oz. bittersweet chocolate
- ½ c. light corn syrup
- 2 tbsp. dark rum
- 2 tbsp. water
- ¼ tsp. salt
Directions
- In large bowl, with mixer on medium-high speed, beat cream cheese, butter, and confectioners' sugar until smooth and fluffy. Place 1 cake layer on cake plate; spread top with frosting. Place other cake layer on top.
- In 3-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup, rum, water, and salt to boiling, stirring. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate until smooth.
- Pour chocolate glaze over cake and let drip down sides.
