With so many puffed skirts in shades of powdery
rose and lemon, and dresses dusted with sugary sequins in the spring
collections, it seems that this season you can have your beautiful
wardrobe and eat it, too. So feel free to indulge: Vogue
asked pastry chefs from five New York bakeries to whip up creations
inspired by the season’s dessert-like styles. With a designer’s flair
and a tailor’s aplomb, the chefs turned in cakes gowned in frosting fit
for the runways.
