If you're celebrating a special occasion at Disney (you know who you are), you need to see this.
It's no secret that the food at Disney World
is becoming more epic than the rides (IMO nothing will ever beat
traveling through Peter Pan's house, but seriously, the food is legit),
but the fancy desserts that are particularly coming out of Amorette's Patisserie, the French-inspired bakery at Disney Springs, the property's high-end shopping area, are so cool.

When I visited the bakery for the first time a few
weeks ago, I was blown away by the intricate cakes this place bakes up —
and not just ones that are inspired by Mickey or Minnie. Although, yes, this is the same Amorette's that bakes up the now-famous dome cakes (watch how mesmerizing!). But it's not all about the characters. The bakery makes gorgeous cakes that rival traditional French pastries.

The best example? Amorette's signature 11-layer
cake. Yup, you read that right: 11 LAYERS. There are four cake layers
alone: chocolate chiffon, red velvet, and two
layers of flourless chocolate cake. Layered in between those: raspberry
jam, raspberry fruit paste, and chocolate and cherry mousse. If you
think that's indulgent enough, just wait: The entire cake gets covered
in a creamy Italian buttercream and hibiscus-flavored fondant. (Pro tip:
If you think fondant is disgusting, this fancy kind will blow your
mind. Like magic. I call it the "Disney effect".)

When you take a slice out, you can see why this is
the cake ordered for birthdays and anniversaries. It's sophisticated,
decadent — and totally delish.
