Calling it now: Cupcake bouquets will be taking over your Pinterest board by 2018. Floral centerpieces? Cupcake bouquets will probably replace them. Bridesmaids' bouquets? Cupcake bouquets will likely replace those too.
Leading the
trend is the Baked Bouquet, a cupcake shop in Verona, New Jersey, who
has managed to create a product that will make you do a double-take.
Prepare to have your mind blown:

The concept behind the cupcakes was to create a
gift that looks beautiful and can be delivered (like flowers) but
doesn't eventually die. The solution: cupcake bouquets. They're
satisfying to the eye and tastebuds.

But
really, how do the cupcakes look almost identical to flowers? It's all
in the icing. The bakery perfected a buttercream recipe that holds well
and doesn't melt easily, while still tasting delicious. Once the
buttercream is whipped to perfection and reaches the right temperature,
the Baked Bouquet staff adds food coloring to create a flower.
For now the shop only delivers to New Jersey and New York City (you can see if they deliver to you here),
but they have hopes of eventually expanding. Fingers crossed, because I
only want to receive cupcake bouquets from now on. *Sends article to
significant other saying what a cute idea this is.*
