When I was a kid, circus animals were everything.
When Mom came home from the store with that bag filled with pink and
white cookies with sprinkles on top, you knew it was going to be a solid
week. But as good as they are on their own (and oddly addictive for a
sweet that doesn't involve chocolate, peanut butter, or some kind of filling), there's an even better use for them, and it's probably the most whimsical (also, delicious) a dessert could be.

Julianne from Beyond Frosting
created the cake that only existed in your wildest, sugar-high dreams
as a kid, and it's giving new life to the classic cookie. This cake is
inspired by circus cookies, so think a white cake with bright pink
ganache, vanilla buttercream, and sprinkles on top. Cute, right? But
that's not all.

Inside, it's marbled with white and pink cake and a
layer of crushed circus cookies (there are also circus cookies on the
outside).

As much fun this cake would have been at your
childhood birthday parties, it'll be even more fun as an adult when you
don't have to ask your mom's permission for a slice.
